Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using the Sona platform. By accessing or using our service you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. The Service

Sona is a voice-frequency wellness platform powered by AO Scan Technology. AO Scan is a non-invasive bioresonance technology that analyses the subtle frequencies emitted by the body and compares them against a reference library of optimum resonance values. By submitting a voice recording and personal context, Sona uses AO Scan Technology to generate a personalised resonance report that maps your tonal signature across key wellness dimensions.

The service is offered for personal wellness exploration and informational purposes only.

Sona is not a medical service. AO Scan Technology and the resonance reports, focus-area insights, and any other output we provide do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The technology has not been evaluated by the FDA, COFEPRIS or equivalent regulatory body for the diagnosis or treatment of any medical condition. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical concerns.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use this service. If you are submitting a session on behalf of a minor or a pet, you confirm that you are their owner, parent, or legal guardian and that you have the authority to provide the information on their behalf.

3. Information You Provide

When completing a session you may submit the following:

  • Personal details — first and last name, date of birth, gender, height, weight.
  • Voice recording — an audio sample captured or uploaded through your device. Your voice is used solely to generate your resonance report.
  • Photo (optional) — a facial or full-body image. JPEG or PNG, maximum 300 KB.
  • Email address — used to deliver your report and for session-related communications.
  • Wellness context — a free-text narrative and a selection of focus areas (e.g. sleep, energy, stress) that help contextualise your report.

For pet sessions: pet name, identification or chip number, species, breed(s), birth date, gender, an optional photo, and your email address as the owner.

You warrant that all information you submit is accurate, that it relates to yourself or to a pet or minor in your lawful care, and that you have the right to share it.

4. Voice Recording & Biometric Data

Your voice recording is the primary input to AO Scan Technology and may be considered biometric or sensitive personal data under applicable law (including but not limited to the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act and equivalent regulations). By submitting a recording you expressly consent to its collection and processing by Sona and AO Scan Technology for the purpose of generating your resonance report.

We do not sell, license, or share your voice data with third parties for advertising or profiling purposes. Voice recordings are retained only for as long as necessary to deliver and support your report, after which they are deleted or anonymised.

5. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

  • Generate and deliver your personalised resonance report.
  • Maintain a session record accessible to your assigned practitioner.
  • Improve the accuracy and quality of our analysis over time (using anonymised, aggregated data only).
  • Communicate with you about your session or our service.

6. Practitioner Access

Authorised Sona practitioners can view the session data you submit, including your name, wellness narrative, focus areas, and report output, in order to provide guidance and follow-up. By completing a session you consent to this access.

7. Intellectual Property

The Sona platform, including its analysis methodology, interface design, and report format, is the intellectual property of Sona and its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the service without our written permission.

You retain ownership of the content you submit (recordings, photos, written text). By submitting content you grant Sona a limited, non-exclusive licence to process and store it solely for the purposes described in these Terms.

8. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Submit recordings or information belonging to another person without their explicit consent.
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulation.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise extract the analysis methodology or underlying models.
  • Misrepresent report outputs as medical diagnoses or clinical findings.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that results will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose. Resonance reports are exploratory in nature and individual results may vary.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sona shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of or reliance on the service or its outputs. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the session in question.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
